Biography
Merl Miller has more than 16 years of experience in injury prevention and management. He is qualified to perform post-offer and pre-work screenings, functional capacity evaluations, job site analysis, essential job functions analysis and ergonomic evaluations.
Merl holds a Master of Science degree from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico. His education includes extensive course work in rehabilitation, reconditioning, exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, health and wellness. He has specific expertise in the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, conditions that primarily affect the muscles, tendons, and nerves.
He has completed numerous advanced courses and is currently completing the Professional Certificate Program in Occupational Health and Safety through the University of California at San Diego. He is certified as an ergonomic evaluation specialist (CEES) through Roy Matheson and Associates.
Before founding Performance Ergonomics, Merl worked in a variety of settings including orthopedic sports medicine, occupational health, and outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation centers.
Merl, his wife Tracy and their four children live in Mesa, Arizona.
